~Sherry Paetznick

Sherry is a native of Kilgore, Texas, where she began playing the viola in sixth grade.  By age sixteen, she started playing with the Longview Symphony. After graduating high school, Sherry first went to Kilgore College where she studied violin and then Stephen F. Austin State University, where she studied viola and early childhood education, graduating summa cum laude with a BSIS degree.

For fifteen years, Sherry balanced her two loves, teaching kindergarten during the day and   playing her viola nights and weekends in various ensembles and orchestras, including the Longview String Quartet, Longview Symphony, and Marshall Symphony. Now she has merged the two loves by teaching orchestra (and her former kindergarten students!) at Kilgore High School.  In her free time, she geeks out over Doctor Who, plays with her adorable dog Juliet, and spends time with family and friends.
